Really? Slavery in 2013? Yes. The International Justice Mission (IJM) estimates that 27 million people are enslaved around the world today—some of them are in your own backyard—just miles from where YOU LIVE.
Have you ever thought about what you would do or how you would act if you were an American living in the early 1800s? Would you join the Underground Railroad—a group of citizens who were risking prison to help escaped slaves? Would you speak out? Today, there are still people barely surviving and living in bondage, from old men and woman to little boys and girls. It’s unspeakable the evil that exists in our broken world.
You can help with very little time or energy spent. Please take a few SECONDS to fill out a petition to the President asking him to follow through on his promise to make freedom a reality in our world. Below is information from the Make Freedom Real Campaign from IMJ. And here is a link to the petition you can sign.
Make Freedom Real Campaign
President Obama’s Speech on Human Trafficking
Last September, President Obama made a speech renouncing human trafficking and vowing that the U.S. would take serious steps to end what he called “modern-day slavery.” He said that “[slavery] evokes obviously one of the most painful chapters in our nation’s history. But around the world, there’s no denying the awful reality. When a man, desperate for work, finds himself in a factory or on a fishing boat or in a field, working, toiling, for little or no pay, and beaten if he tries to escape—that is slavery. When a woman is locked in a sweatshop, or trapped in a home as a domestic servant, alone and abused and incapable of leaving—that’s slavery.”To access the entire speech, please click here: http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/09/25/remarks-president-clinton-global-initiative
Take Action!
At IJM, we hope to see the president follow through on these promises to make freedom real by collecting 150,000 signatures on a letter to the President. You can access the letter here: http://bit.ly/MakeFreedom.
Watch this video for more information and please share this with all of your friends. Think about your family, your children, and praise God they are blessed with a safe, comfortable home and surrounded by loving friends and family.

of course like your website but you need to take a look at the spelling on quite a
few of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling
issues and I find it very bothersome to inform the reality however I will certainly come
again again.
